Tell us a bit about yourself and what you're up to now
I moved around a lot growing up due to my parents’ jobs—seven primary schools across three countries! Being the “new kid” taught me to be adaptable and sparked a genuine love for meeting new people (plus I got really good at icebreakers).
By day, I’m VP of Sales at MVF, leading the go-to-market strategy for our newest product.
Outside of work, I’m happiest when I’m outdoors and active. Tag rugby, running, and snowboarding are some of my favourite ways to unwind. Completing the London Marathon was a recent highlight, raising over £3,000 for a charity close to my heart.
What was your journey into a career in Tech Sales
My journey into sales wasn’t exactly planned. I graduated with a Biology degree, then headed to Canada for ski seasons, combining work with my love of snowboarding and travel.
Back in the UK, I joined a grad scheme that quickly showed me finance wasn’t for me. I applied to 10+ roles, only two in sales, and ended up landing one at the company I’m still with today.
It turned out to be the perfect fit. I love the fast pace, the learning, and the people side of sales. It suits my curiosity and energy, and it’s been an amazing journey of growth ever since.
What would you say are the best things about working in Tech Sales
What I love about sales? The competition, mainly with myself. The pace, pressure, and constant learning keep it exciting.
It also demands real curiosity. You’ve got to read between the lines to understand what clients actually need, it’s basically mind reading with a quota.
Sales has taught me resilience, sharp thinking, and how to drive impact. Long term, I’d love to move into consultancy, helping ambitious businesses grow through smarter, faster revenue strategies.
What advice would you give to someone who is just about to start their career in sales
Be curious, not just convincing. The best salespeople aren’t the ones with the slickest pitch but the ones who ask the smartest questions and really listen to the answers.
Don’t fear rejection, expect it. You’ll hear "no" a lot. It’s part of the job, not a reflection of your ability. Build resilience early, and treat every rejection as a learning opportunity.
And finally, celebrate the wins (even the small ones). Sales can be tough, but it's also incredibly rewarding when you keep showing up and backing yourself.
Why did you decide to join Tangent as a Mentor and why should others join as Mentors too
I read The Female Sales Leader at the start of this year, (which I now recommend to every mentee I speak with, no matter their gender), and what stuck with me most was how pivotal mentorship is. Not just in shaping careers, but in building confidence, opening doors, & helping people see what’s possible.
It made me reflect on how crucial mentors have been in my own sales journey, and how many young people don’t have that kind of support or access. I spent some time researching different routes to get into mentorship, and as soon as I found Tangent I knew I’d found my place.
An unbelievably positive and supportive community for both mentee and mentors alike, I can’t recommend it enough!
