Tell us a bit about yourself and what you're up to now

I’m currently Head of Sales at Renfluence, where I’m building the commercial strategy from scratch across multiple verticals. It’s one of the most exciting environments I’ve worked in. Fast-paced, creative, and backed by a platform that’s genuinely pushing the boundaries of how brands connect with audiences.

Working at an industry-leading company like Renfluence, where innovation is the actual product, makes building a sales strategy feel like momentum, not maintenance.

Before that, I spent almost a decade working in sales and operations, mostly in fintech, SaaS and B2B in general (Revolut, FRG, etc.), coaching teams and designing systems that actually perform, not just sound good in slide decks.

Beyond work, I’m doing a PhD in performance with a focus on sales, which makes me either very committed… or very bad at saying no to stress.
And if I’m not obsessing over funnel flows or coaching frameworks, you’ll probably find me somewhere loud, sweaty, and full of techno.

What was your journey into a career in Tech Sales

Like most people, I didn’t grow up dreaming of a career in Tech Sales.
I studied Business & Marketing, then after an internship, I found myself in the US doing everything from operations to pitch decks to managing chaos. That’s where I got my first managerial role within sales, that made me decide on a Master's in HRM, so I can lead, coach and train people more efficiently.

From there, I worked my way through B2B roles, eventually joining Revolut. That experience solidified two things for me:
– I love building systems that make salespeople better
– And I can’t work somewhere unless the pace scares me a little

Now I lead sales at Renfluence, and also help other teams scale sustainably.

Honestly, I got into sales by accident.
I stayed because once you see how broken most sales systems are… it’s hard not to want to fix them.

What would you say are the best things about working in Tech Sales

Tech Sales forces you to develop two things most people avoid: clarity and resilience.

You learn to simplify complex ideas, read people fast, handle rejection without spiraling, and ask better questions, not only in business, but also in life in general.

It also teaches you the difference between motion and progress. You can have 15 calls in a day and still be unproductive if you’re not moving toward something real.

Career-wise, it opens doors everywhere. Once you understand how revenue works - and how to drive it - you can work cross-functionally, launch your own thing (wink), or transition into leadership with actual weight behind you.

What advice would you give to someone who is just about to start their career in sales

Two things. For sales in general: Learn to manage your own psychology early. Sales is emotional cardio. If you don’t know how to bounce back from a rough week, you’ll burn out before you know it.

For Tech Sales in particular: Don’t fall in love with your product. Fall in love with the problem it solves.

Too many new reps pitch features because they’re afraid of silence, or of asking the hard questions.
But great sales isn’t about knowing what to say.
It’s about knowing when to shut up, listen, and let the prospect convince themselves.

Why did you decide to join Tangent as a Mentor and why should others join as Mentors too

I joined Tangent because I remember what it was like figuring out sales from the sidelines, learning through trial and error, without someone to help me zoom out.

Being a mentor isn’t about giving lectures. It’s about sharing frameworks, perspective, and helping others dodge a few of the mistakes I had to learn the hard way.

It’s also a great way to sharpen my own thinking.
Every time I coach someone, I clarify how I approach sales myself. That’s a win-win.

I'd suggest others to join because it's a low-barrier, high-impact way to give back. You don't need to have 10 years of experience, just enough awareness to offer something real.

And the feeling of knowing you helped someone figure it out?
Can’t beat it.
Just a few days ago, someone I spoke to in a 1:1 call messaged me saying they landed their first AE role and thanked me for the clarity I gave them during our chat.
That kind of moment stays with you.
