Tell us a bit about yourself and what you're up to now
I currently work as a Solutions Engineer at Miro, where I help enterprise customers unlock collaboration at scale and drive adoption across their teams. Before that, I spent several years in customer success, working closely with strategic clients to deliver measurable business outcomes through digital transformation.
Outside of work, I’m a big believer in continuous growth, whether that’s exploring new tech trends, creating content, or learning from other customer-centric professionals. I’m also a dad, which means my free time usually involves a lot of adventures with my little one, Kayden, family travel and fitness.
What was your journey into a career in Tech Sales
My journey into tech wasn’t a straight line. I began in traditional business and customer-facing roles, where I developed a genuine passion for solving problems and improving experiences. Over time, I became increasingly fascinated by how technology could amplify those solutions, turning great ideas into scalable and repeatable impact.
That curiosity led me to pivot into the tech industry, beginning in customer success roles where I could blend business strategy with technology adoption. My fascination with how technology works has continued to shape my path, making the move into my current role as a Solutions Engineer at Miro a natural progression. Today, I help customers innovate, collaborate, and bring digital transformation to life by combining my customer success and solutions engineering experience to bridge strategy and execution, turning vision into tangible and scalable results.
What would you say are the best things about working in Tech Sales
One of the best things about working in tech is the constant opportunity to learn and evolve. The pace of innovation keeps you sharp, and there’s always something new to explore, whether it’s a platform capability, a new customer challenge, or a fresh way of solving problems.
Tech also builds highly transferable skills. Communication, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and technical fluency are all in constant use, which makes you adaptable across industries and roles. The earning potential and career growth are strong, but what really stands out for me is the impact, seeing how technology can transform the way people work and create measurable value for businesses.
Working in customer success and solutions engineering has also given me a strong foundation in consultative selling and strategic thinking, which I see as key skills for any future leadership role in tech.
What advice would you give to someone who is just about to start their career in sales
My biggest slice of advice for someone starting a career in tech, whether in CS, Sales or Solutions engineering, is to focus on curiosity and empathy. Take the time to really understand your customers, their goals, challenges, and what success means to them. It’s not just about managing relationships, it’s about becoming a partner, who can connect business strategy with measurable outcomes.
It’s also important to develop strong communication and storytelling skills. You’ll often find yourself bridging the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, so being able to translate complex ideas into clear, value-driven conversations is imperative.
Finally, and most importantly stay adaptable!
The tech landscape evolves quickly, and the best Sales Reps, CSMs and SE’s are those who keep learning, stay proactive, and look for ways to drive impact before being asked.
Why did you decide to join Tangent as a Mentor and why should others join as Mentors too
I decided to join Tangent as a Mentor because I believe real growth happens when we share what we’ve learned with others.
Throughout my career in tech, I’ve had incredible mentors who shaped my thinking, challenged me to see differently, and accelerated my development.
Joining Tangent felt like a natural way to pay that forward by helping others navigate similar challenges while continuing to strengthen my own leadership and coaching skills.
What excites me most is the opportunity to work with emerging leaders who are building from the ground up. It’s a space where curiosity, creativity, and resilience come together, and guiding that journey while learning from their fresh perspectives is incredibly rewarding.
Why become a mentor? It’s not just about giving back, it’s about growing forward. Mentorship sharpens your ability to lead, communicate, and inspire. It broadens your perspective, deepens empathy, and reconnects you with the purpose behind your own career.
