Tell us a bit about yourself and what you're up to now

I moved to the UK 9 years ago and started agency-side in digital marketing before transitioning into Customer Success, where I found my passion for building strong relationships and working closely with different customers. I love creating more welcoming, inclusive environments and I'm excited to support others who want to make a positive impact in the industry.

What was your journey into a career in Tech Sales

My journey into Customer Success started after working in digital marketing on the agency side. I realized I was most energised by the client-facing side of things: understanding their needs, building trust, and helping them grow. That naturally led me into Customer Success roles in tech, where I could combine relationship-building with commercial impact. A key moment was moving to the UK and seeing how many paths there are into tech!

What would you say are the best things about working in Tech Sales

One of the best things about working in Customer Success is how versatile this is: you develop strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills that are valuable across many roles. It’s a great mix of commercial thinking and empathy. There is plenty of room to grow, whether into leadership, product, or even sales. Personally, CS has given me a clearer view of the entire customer journey and helped me understand where I can make the biggest impact next.

What advice would you give to someone who is just about to start their career in sales

Be curious and proactive! Ask questions, learn about your customers’ goals, and don’t be afraid to try new approaches. Strong relationships are at heart of CS, so focus on listening and building trust. Also, remember it’s okay not to know everything at the beginnung: what matters most is your mindset and willingness to grow. Lastly, connect with others in the space as CS is full of people who love to share and support!

Why did you decide to join Tangent as a Mentor and why should others join as Mentors too

I joined Tangent recently as a mentor because I believe in giving back and helping others navigate the same questions I once had. Breaking into tech or CS can feel overwhelming at first, and having someone to talk to (especially informally) can make a real difference. I’ve been supported by great mentors in my journey, and this is a way to pay it forward. Others should join too: it's a chance to make a genuine impact, grow your own perspective, and help build a more inclusive, supportive industry.
