Tell us a bit about yourself and what you're up to now

For the past ten years, I’ve worked with B2B tech startups, drawing on my background in Computer Science, UX, and International Business to bring a strategic yet human-centred approach to building strong customer relationships.
Now, I’m the first Customer Success Manager at WunderGraph. I’m building our customer success practice on top of a strong engineering culture and an exceptionally talented team. I work closely with our users to ensure they get the most out of our ecosystem, from onboarding to long-term strategic alignment. I also work across teams to align our product direction with real user feedback and evolving customer goals. It’s a highly dynamic and deeply rewarding role.

What was your journey into a career in Tech Sales

From the moment I started wondering how my favourite video games were developed, I knew I wanted to be part of the thriving world of software. During my formative years, I explored everything I could: how software is built, the technologies under the hood, and how products are taken to market.
I started with unpaid internships during university summers, and later moved into software development and user experience research. Each role taught me something deeper about my motivations and where I truly thrived. Eventually, I found myself in a customer-facing role, and everything clicked.
I realised that what energises me most is working closely with diverse users and use cases, building long-term relationships, and helping unlock meaningful value.
Customer Success is where I can use my technical expertise to solve practical problems and drive outcomes that matter to both users and the business.

What would you say are the best things about working in Tech Sales

In Tech Sales, you sit at the intersection of people and product, helping users understand complex technologies in ways that solve their real-world challenges. No two conversations are ever the same. You're constantly learning about the technologies your customers adopt, their evolving use cases, broader industry trends, and even the product you work with every day.
You collaborate with teams across the business and gain deep insight into how the whole business operates. It's a uniquely cross-functional role where your input genuinely matters.
The earning potential is certainly attractive, but more than anything, it's about creating value. You get to be part of a living, collaborative system where feedback becomes action and users feel the difference. It’s fast-paced, rewarding, and endlessly motivating.

What advice would you give to someone who is just about to start their career in sales

Stay endlessly curious. The best (and happiest) salespeople, engineers, and product managers I have met treat most interactions as an opportunity to learn. There’s always something new to uncover, whether it’s understanding your customer’s goals, your product’s inner workings, or even how your team operates.
This leads to my next piece of advice: don't be afraid to ask questions! Sales and Customer Success isn’t about having all the answers upfront; it’s about listening and connecting the dots.
And finally, remember that Sales and Customer Success is about more than transactions. Focus on creating genuine value and establishing trust with customers: success will follow.

Why did you decide to join Tangent as a Mentor and why should others join as Mentors too

The right advice at the right moment can make all the difference when we reach a crossroads in our careers. Throughout my own journey, mentors helped me navigate decisions and unlock opportunities, distilling their experience into insights I could apply to my own path. That guidance has had a lasting impact on my career trajectory.
Being able to pass that on is both a privilege and a responsibility. Tangent makes that possible in a refreshingly simple way: it allows me to share my experience openly, connect with mentees without red tape, and contribute to a collective mentor network that offers a range of perspectives. It’s a platform that makes giving back easy, meaningful and genuinely valuable.
