Tell us a bit about yourself and what you're up to now
I’m currently a Principal Customer Success Manager at Freshworks, based in London, where I partner with enterprise clients across industries like travel, e-commerce, and financial services to help them realise value through tech and great customer experiences.
My background spans over a decade in SaaS across GTM functions, from Customer Success and Account Management to Enablement. I’m especially passionate about mentoring and building strong customer-centric cultures.
Outside of work, I’m a big advocate for mental fitness and personal growth. I also love storytelling, travel planning, and creating space for reflective conversations, which is what initially drew me to Tangent.
What was your journey into a career in Tech Sales
I didn’t start out in tech. My early roles were more operational and process-led. But over time, I realised what I really enjoyed was solving problems, building trust, and being close to customers. That naturally led me toward the SaaS space, where I started to find roles that felt more aligned with my strengths.
The turning point was joining Freshworks- that was my first real experience in a high-growth tech environment. I got to work with fast-scaling teams and global customers, and that opened the door to everything that followed.
Since then, I’ve stayed close to the world of GTM, especially Customer Success because I’ve seen how powerful it can be when tech is paired with human connection. That’s what keeps me excited even now.
What would you say are the best things about working in Tech Sales
One of the best parts about working in tech is how fast everything moves. You’re constantly learning, adapting, and pushing yourself. It’s not always easy, but it keeps you on your toes and teaches you to be resilient, especially in customer-facing roles.
I also think tech opens doors. Whether it’s career growth, global exposure, or earning potential, there’s room to shape your path if you’re willing to put in the work. The skills you pick up : stakeholder management, problem-solving, storytelling are incredibly transferable, both within and outside the industry.
For me, working in Customer Success has been a masterclass in empathy, influence, and long-term thinking. Whatever I do next, whether it’s leadership, coaching, or something I haven’t imagined yet, I know these skills will stay with me.
What advice would you give to someone who is just about to start their career in sales
Start by focusing on the customer, not the title. It’s easy to get caught up in frameworks and processes, but the core of Customer Success is understanding people : their goals, their blockers, and what “success” means to them. That’s where your impact lies.
Be curious, not just about the product, but about the business problems your customers are trying to solve. And don’t wait to have all the answers. Learn out loud, ask thoughtful questions, and build trust by showing up consistently.
Also, invest in your communication skills : written, verbal, and everything in between. So much of Customer Success is about being a translator: between tech and value, between short-term issues and long-term outcomes.
And finally, pace yourself. CS isn’t about instant wins, it’s a long game. The best CSMs are the ones who think like partners, not vendors.
Why did you decide to join Tangent as a Mentor and why should others join as Mentors too
I joined Tangent because I remember what it felt like to be early in my career : full of questions, unsure of the path, and just hoping someone ahead of me would take the time to guide me. Mentorship felt like a meaningful way to give back, but also to reflect on how far I’ve come.
What I didn’t expect was how energising it would be. Tangent creates a space where you’re not just giving advice, you’re connecting, learning, and seeing things through fresh eyes again.
If you care about people, growth, and sharing what you’ve learned along the way, becoming a mentor is one of the most impactful things you can do. It sharpens your leadership skills, builds empathy, and gives you real, human moments in a world that often moves too fast.
Plus, it’s just incredibly rewarding to know that even a short conversation can shape someone’s career path for the better.
